The recent changes in government policy make it easier for international students to work in Australia once they complete their education (conditions apply) and hence they can add value to their resumes not only through international education but also through international work experience. Australian study will improve your employability skills. Employability skills are the non-technical skills, knowledge and understandings that are necessary to gain employment and participate effectively in the workplace.
Most student visas allow you to work for up to 40 hours every two weeks while your course is in session, and unrestricted hours during any schedule course break, but before you undertake any paid work you need to make sure your visa allows you to work. Find out more at www.border.gov.au
